G . A . Z . I . N . E ] *** Call for papers *** [ --- Call for papers After all efforts for releasing two editions and the good acceptance from the community, the staff of The Bug! Magazine would like to have the support from everyone. We're planning to release our third issue in mid-2007. Until there we're accepting suggestions and would like to count on the community and people who has something interesting to contribute to the magazine. Preference will be given to papers related to the following topics: - General system exploitation techniques, vuln-dev and shellcoding - Web applications hacking - Phone phreaking e phone system subversion - Hardware hacking, embedded systems and other electronic devices - Mobile devices exploitation, Symbian, P2K and bluetooth technologies - Analysis of virus, worms and all sorts of malware - Reverse engineering - Rootkits - Security in Wi-Fi and VoIP environments - Information about smartcard and RFID security and similars - Technical approach to alternative operating systems - Denial of service attacks and/or counter-measures - Techniques for development of secure software and systems - Cryptography - Information about satellites, GPS and stuff alike - Lockpicking, trashing and urban exploration - Internet, privacy and Big Brother - Commentaries about conferences, technical or science fiction books with hacking on their context - Journalistic, informative and historical articles about hacking - Other interesting topics, although not previously above Some information regarding model of articles can be found below. The model we chosed to follow is based on Phrack and aims to create an acceptable stan- dardization, making it easier to read. [ --- Model of articles 1. Each line must contain at most 79 characters; 2. Articles must be written in ASCII format; 3. A previous grammatical revision should be made before submission; 4. Special characters must not be used; 5. The author should avoid chat and Internet slangs; 6. An abstract of the paper should be sent to the magazine editors; 7. Articles must contain an index, introduction, the core of article and con- clusion (with references, in the case they exist); 8. Articles can be written in english, spanish or portuguese; [ --- Additional information Contributions like articles, ideas, critics and suggestions are welcome.
